A QR code or business card won’t scan
Identify the scan type, improve the image, and use a manual fallback.
Cresca has one scanner for everything — badges, business cards, QR codes, and plain text. Most failed scans are a mode or a lighting problem, not a broken feature.
How to do it

Tell it what it is looking at
The scanner opens on Auto, which guesses. If it keeps guessing wrong, switch to the mode you actually want: Event Badge, Paper Card, QR Code, or Text. Each one reshapes the viewfinder for that thing.

Check camera permission
Allow Cresca to use the camera. If you declined earlier, the scan screen offers Open Settings.

Improve the view
Clean the lens, use even light, avoid glare, and fill the frame. The flashlight toggle is on the scan screen.

Fall back to typing
The scan screen has Enter manually. For a person, adding them by hand from People → Add people → New person is always available.
