Inbox and Notifications: what belongs where

Inbox is what needs you. Notifications is a log of what happened.

Cresca keeps these two apart on purpose. One is a to-do pile; the other is a record. Knowing which is which saves you from checking the wrong one.

Inbox — things that need you

Everything in the Inbox has a next step: a capture waiting to be confirmed, a request waiting for an answer, something Cresca could not place on its own.

Open it from ☰ → the More link on the Inbox row. The most recent items are listed in the menu itself, so you usually do not have to open the full page.

An empty Inbox says “Nothing needs you right now.” That is the state to aim for.

Notifications — what happened

This is a log, and only a log. Nothing here is waiting on you — if it were, it would be in the Inbox instead.

Open it from the bell at the top of ☰. That bell is the only door to it in the app, and it deliberately carries no dot or count: a log does not chase you.

Filter by People, Meetings, Events, Forms, Reminders, NFC cards, Support, System, or Welcome. Mark all read clears the unread state without deleting anything.

Push notifications are a third thing

What reaches your lock screen is controlled separately, in Settings → Notifications → Push notifications. Turning those off does not empty either surface — the Inbox still collects what needs you, and the log still records what happened.
