GETTING STARTED

The guided tour on your first run

Cresca walks you through one real capture, then shows you how to ask for it back.

The first time you open Cresca on iPhone, it walks you through one real capture rather than showing you a tour of menus. What you say during it is genuinely saved — this is not a demo.

How to do it

  1. 1

    Hold the orb and speak

Cresca gives you a line to read out loud — something like “I’m starting Cresca today. Remind me tomorrow to finish my profile.” Keep holding while you say it. You can also swipe up to type instead.

  2. 2

Let it read what you said

This takes a few seconds. Cresca is working out what was in that sentence.

  3. 3

    Review before anything is saved

Cresca shows what it understood — usually two things — and asks you to confirm. Nothing is saved until you do. This is the single most important habit in the app.

  4. 4

    Ask for it back

The tour opens the menu, points at Ask Cres, and pre-fills a question for you. Send it, and you get back the thing you just said.

  5. 5

    Two last things

It finishes by pointing at your badge, for showing to people, and at your avatar, for completing your profile.

It runs once

The guided tour does not come back. What you can reopen is Getting Started — the checklist version — from ☰ → Cresca → the compass in the top right.

If you turned AI off

The speaking part of the tour needs AI to make sense of what you said, so declining AI during setup skips it. You still get the last two steps — your badge and your profile — and everything the tour would have shown you is in Getting Started.
